Despite the high demand, despite the hype, despite all the glory – prices have dropped and are dropping. Rental market has seen big dips in certain areas. So, on Sunday I decided to visit a few open houses in Carroll Gardens Brooklyn, home to my new office which I am thrilled about. I visited a 16 foot wide 3 story home that is priced at $3.3M an astounding number considering the location, floors and the fact that the top bathroom has no interior wall..which may work for some but with hard wood floors water is generally not a good match or friend.

I am about to bring to market an amazing and spectacular property, so unique and special it will command the markets most discerning buyer.  Stay tuned for this listing it will not only wow you, it will define what townhouse living was meant to be.

I continued on my way and visited 2 homes in Boerum Hill, One ideal for an investor and in basic shape but rather large, the other could have easily been touched up and used by an end user or investor so versatile a gem for $3.1M , location, size and the ability to maximize your return – you should run not walk ! Can you imagine one agent listed an open house for 30 minutes and then was not there to let us in or another buyer ! The owner of this property should re-evaluate the service they are receiving ! WAKE UP people !

In total I visited 5 open houses, tired and hot as the day warmed up, only to realize that the home I will be showcasing is bar none, turn key, amazing, filled with light and love a true urban sanctuary not just a descriptive word but a reality !

The “United” States of America. Funny how this acronym doesn’t quite fit the bill. It is also misleading, inaccurate and just outright wrong. There is nothing United about the states in America. If this Presidential election did not bring this point to the forefront Nothing. Ever. Will. 

Write that down. 

The definition of U-NIT-ED …. joined together politically, for a purpose , or by common feelings. Hmmmm seems like a thing of the past.

Where can you have a country that has a Federal Law but allows States to have their own laws and each state can have their own policy and regulations. How the heck can we “Unite” when I can move to Colorado and sell marijuana but if I stay in NY it’s a crime. How can I go to Nevada sleep with a prostitute in a brothel but if I solicit one in NY I can get arrested.

What in Gods name is “United”. ??

Every local government has different regulations from storefront signage to building code to transparency and as far as disclosure. “Buyer beware” in NYS but not the case in every state .

Bricks appear to cost a fortune in NY but go buy a brick house in Atlanta it’s a fraction of the cost. Medical insurance in NY is unaffordable but if I lived in another state I can insure the whole family for less than half.

Why is it that we accept inferior school environments in the inner city ? This super low energy in the classroom and we think “it’s a great district” what makes it great ?

You can go out to the burbs and get truly GREAT schools.

There is something seriously wrong with the so called “United” States of America. We are not so united.

Not by law, not by community, vision, spirit, soul, energy and alignment. Not sure we ever were. I’ve had this belief and feeling for decades. I’ve been saying for years that we are the “Broken” States of America. We the privileged who live on East coast or West coast REFUSE to SEE the hardships in the other states …the one thing this election did was bring that to the forefront. The media, the people, the hatred. I can’t even post my view or opinion without being clobbered by someone who thinks my view isn’t theirs so it’s wrong. 

Why? Better yet How? How did we become so divided ? So disconnected to our fellow Americans ? That one side thought it was ok to call Trump supporters deplorables when they are citizens but yet the same side wants to “protect” the illegals and non documented criminals who cost the system tons of money. Who ride the system and send all their money back to their motherland instead of reinvesting it here.

Why? Who did we become as a people to turn on the others that live in states outside our state lines and call them names, when they live a hard ship, are American, also have freedom of speech, the right to vote , work, pay tax’s and dream the American dream. For me this election was a significant one. One that clearly depicts how divided we are, how disconnected to humanity we are, how we only look in our front gardens, how we don’t have vision to look ahead, how we somehow lost empathy and compassion for our citizens who bust their ass everyday to keep their heads up and wave the flag they are proud of and not burning it. UNITED ? We are so far removed from sharing the same vision the same togetherness the same purpose, we need to rename our nation..

We are fighting for non Americans but when you see a Vetern selling poppy flowers or flags in a wheelchair what do you do ? When was the last time you -yes – you advocated for a veteran ? Visit a VA home sometime, see the disabilities abound, the lives destroyed, the horrible food they are served in the homes! That is deplorable…. but unless it’s in your front yard you put your hands in the air and say I didn’t know.. (that doesn’t make it right if you truly cared). 

I also find it so amazing that so many are now giving money to the ACLU, I’ve been a member since the 90’s where have you been? Sleeping perhaps but you see you are either transparent or jaded, you are either asleep or awake, growth minded or restricted..living with limiting beliefs or free.

When I speak I speak from experience. Not on a whim to be part of something because I need validation. But I speak from having had the opportunity to see/ feel and reach a out. To donate to the Vets, to support them in the streets, to give unconditionally without judgement. Because I am awake, aware, transparent, and I do care.

Something has gone inheritenly wrong in America. We lost the ability to weave a quilt.

A quilt used to tell a story, different fabrics , colors, lettering, symbols sewn together in “unity”. 

Americans or I should rephrase that, the people who came to America came here to see a quilt, the fabric of America was one, pride, quality, and the pursuit of happiness we were once United. We once had the same common purpose and feelings…we no longer do. (As far as Americans I don’t believe this land was discovered, I believe it was a hostile takeover an invasion, a bully method of control and power, because how do you “discover” a land that had people on it ? Which explains the culture we have adopted as a way of life) but that’s for another blog post LOL… 

We clearly LOST all of those materials. Instead we spend countless hours in agony, fighting, causing destruction, refusing to allow people their right to an opinion or view. We lost the art of communication and socializing. We hide. We gang up, and we continue to beat on each others spirits. We destroy, we protest in anger.. we lost that loving feeling.

It’s a no wonder WHY we are where we are today. 

How can we stand “United” ? When we are so divided ? I look forward to the mass awakening when you stop allowing outside voices and people and things to define who you are ! 

Reach out your hand, I’m sure someone can use a lift. … 

A little humor if I may , actually I can’t control myself… When I heard this on the news today I laughed and laughed and laughed…and there went my mind… wandering into spaces where I know people will have something to say. I simply can’t resist.

All I could do was think of the oh so many disorders in the world that people face on a daily basis and conjured up my own info-mercial for O.T.D. It would go something like this …

Are you feeling sad, down, and sick to your stomach? Have a strong urge to curl up in bed with your dog or cat? Need someone to talk to? Feel the urge that you need to take action? Need a hot chocolate or a bottle of whine ? Want to cry at every waking moment that Trump speaks and every Presidential pick he makes for the cabinet ? Ugh feeling defeated… you might be suffering from O.T.D. ….Obsessive Trump Disorder !

The only cure for that is a small dose of “get over it” every 10 minutes for 1 week. Before you know it you will feel relieved.

Be part of the solution and not the problem.

I am so tired of hearing about every little thing that Trump does, likes, feels and thinks. Whether he is in a box or out of the box, whether he is Putins friend or foe, whether he is building in Saudi Arabia or not, whether he is spending Christmas in Manhattan or in Florida. 

Really ? Don’t you have bills to pay ? Shows to see? Christmas shopping to get done or Kwanza or Chanukah ? Something ?

Can’t the media cover the homeless population for a while ? I went to midtown and every ten feet was a homeless person, every train , every bench …like what is going on ?

Can’t the media cover gentrification and what that really does to people ? Who it really affects …and who is behind the push or desire to take over these areas that are gentrifying ? Just because they like the trees or the architecture…Really ? It’s as clear as day to me ! 

The list is endless of where we need awareness, on our level Mano a Mano!

Helping the homeless regain self esteem, helping people climb out of housing projects, sharing what you know to help mankind…spend your time with underprivileged children who are failing in our school system, boost their moral, spend some time with them and see the potential and harness it for them. Become a learning leader, I am and I dedicate 4 hours a week to help these inner city kids read and I love it! They love the undivided attention I give them. 

Do something in your community.

Is the reason we all love America. So when I am asked what do you think about the results of the election I say I’m 💯 pct ok with it. They look at me with anger😡, I say well Democracy won this election, the people won this election. Our democracy works, it’s our right to vote, to protest, freedom of choice, and speech did we forget that ? Are we that divided ? Have we become so consumed with thy self that we can’t see clearly. Have we become ostriches ?

I’ve come to notice that there is a huge entitlement surge 📈that was in the works for the last 20 years, it’s getting worse. There is no need to protest against our democracy because your party loses. You should be delighted that our democracy was proven to be about the people for the people during this election, despite wether ” you” like the suit or not. We should applaud our system👏🏼 Listen, I’m a conspiracy theorist and now I know that the election is about the people. I was happy and delighted to see our system at work and the power of the people to overturn the power that has been seated there with their arms crossed for way too long, their eyes closed and so emotionally disconnected from what they were feeling that all that mattered was the potential for our First female president, shame on us. She didn’t even win the woman’s vote! 👎🏼

I believe this all comes from lil Timmy lil Timmy joins a karate class, lil timmys mom wants to know if they will all get a medal, the instructor says sure he will we don’t want to hurt anyone’s feelings so they will all get a medal. Little Timmy grows up thinking that he will always win, when little Timmy loses as an adult he flips out, protests stomps his feet and 😭 can barely function or look people in the eyes, cast judgement that if you are not sad you must be against me. Me me me me me me me I I I I I I I I I I me me me me me .🏅Trump did not win via osmosis, he won by PEOPLE electing him, yes people, humans that live in the USA citizens of this great nation in which there are 330Million of us. 

I want to call out all of the people that said if Trump is elected they are leaving the USA, hmmm bye bye Ellen, see ya later Whoppie , oh and Rosie O’Donnell whew…who else ? Hmmmmmm there were plenty and the door is wide open so don’t let it hit you on the way out! Clearly you don’t believe in democracy so pack your bags and move it right along. There are plenty countries you can live in where there is no voting as a right and you will fit right in. Perfectly. ✅

In life we have winners and we have losers, the olympics, the marathon, karate champions , state exams, employment promotions, war, politics and basically in every arena of our lives. This helps us build resilience , determination and perseverance. 💪🏻

We as people should stand together 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦👩‍👩‍👧‍👦👩‍👧👭👯‍♂️💏👨‍👦‍👦👩‍👦👨‍👩‍👦‍👦💏👨‍❤️‍👨💂🏾👼🏾👳🏾👲🏿👱🏾👱🏾‍♀️👧🏿🗣in unity and thank god we live in this democracy. We should be happy for each other win or lose, republicans were afraid to exercise their right to freedom of speech because the democrats were so against Trump that they feared for themselves. This is pathetic and reflects how divided we are, we need to remove red and blue colors and stop this insanity immediately and learn to take care of one another which is what our creator wanted. That is whatever speaks to you, God, Buddha, the Universe whatever that means to you whomever you believe to be your creator.💞🙏🏻

When Obama won the republicans were NOT happy did they protest ? Did they take to the streets and act like entitled spoiled little people or did they lump it up. They took it, now the tables turn and we wanna act like little Timmy.

Get over it, I’m glad that the system of democracy worked, I’m happy for the people who spoke out by exercising their  right to vote to change the government that was not working for them and the east and west coast need to look at our brothers and sisters in the middle of this nation and embrace them. Maybe we can learn a thing or two here that feelings outweigh charts and statistics, that humans still operate on emotions, that we really need to look at ourselves and say hey it’s about US not just me. 👏🏼 I am very happy that this election proved me wrong, I now believe wholeheartedly that this democracy works, that we just may have had perfect timing to wake up and unify the people.

What would America do with out the middle class? 🤔 what would happen if the entire middle class stopped working? Moved out, or stopped paying tax ?

Run some numbers there and see what you come up with… the middle class is exhausted, tired, beat up , forgotten and tired of carrying the load and boy o boy did it show !

Little Timmy it’s time to grow up and realize you can’t always win 😂But you can learn to ❤️.

The beauty of our country is the very right to choose your elected officials, and this democracy that has been put in place by the people for the people. I predicted this outcome a long time ago, I logged it in my phone and I had conversations about it in the school yard but since this is a blue state no one would listen to why I felt what I was feeling. Instead they looked at me puzzled. 

Just for the record I am neither red or blue. I am only about fairness, transparency, ethics, love and respect for mankind. I am a firm believer of what you put out in this universe is what you get back.

However there are so many walking zombies today and it makes me pause and say hmmm this is the very system you like, the one you want and you are dissatisfied with the outcome ? Things that make me scratch my head. All of a sudden our mayor is now pulling what he would have called a Trump card had Trump lost that something is wrong with the polls? Really ? It’s is blatantly clear that the people have spoken.

We can’t be sore losers, there is only one seat to fill and 2 opponents so clearly we let the people decide and they did. This reminds me of the controversial OJ Simpson trial, he went in front of a jury of his peers and was found NOT GUILTY. The very same system that we pride ourselves on was not accepted because it was not a GUILTY verdict. What and WHY is there so much fear associated with TRUMP ? I will not be surprised if he surprises us, and makes America great again.

I believe that this election shows 3 true factors in life in humanity and in the way we operate as humans.

1) Get back what you put out – well maybe if they treated Bernie Sanders fairly she would not have received this defeat and backlash. WHY wasn’t she in Manhattan with her people, instead she called in …

2) Put the people first- maybe if she campaigned more about what we need like my previous post and not just bashing her opponent she may have kept the blue states. Instead of campaigning about the same things the last 12 years were about. Which is the system that failed so why talk about it again. OLD NEWS. She did nothing to change that perception because she was not in tune with the people.

3) Change – although it is always met with resistance we as humans need it, we need cycles because we get tired of business as usual despite the notion that we like things to be the same. 

I believe that if you are running for a people’s position then you must address the people that have been most affected negatively by the last 12 years and nurture them and immediately try to relate to their hardships, understand where they are coming from with true intentions not manipulation.

I also believe that this election reflects that, it reflects the need for change, it reflects the people’s desire for it and it certainly reflects their frustration with a system that has not changed a system that has failed the people over and over again. A system that she was involved with for 30 years.

I can speak from experience about OBAMASCARE as an Independant contractor I have to buy medical insurance I am not on an employers plan, I tried OBAMASCARE and what a disaster no one accepted it, so I had to leave the exchange and buy the lowest plan I could 1400 a month to cover my small family. THATS 1400 a month ! There has to be a better way.

Now I know I am not alone in a country of 330 MILLION people right so Iam sure that that adds to frustrations and to many many more affected in one way or another and I am not talking about the 1 percenters I am speaking of middle and lower class. 

So, I say it doesn’t matter who it is it’s just that people are fed up, sick and tired of being the gerbil in the wheel that whether he fulfills his promise or not that the PEOPLE of the USA have spoken and said WE choose different, because we NEED different. 

That’s why this election went the way it went, because Trump touched those affected by the last 12 years, he reached them, he related to them and strategically won.

HIllary did not. She did wrong to Bernie, her ad campaigns were filled with ugly, she should have left BILL home alone, and she should have spoken from a people’s perspective and she should have been more empathetic and understanding which in all her speeches I did not feel any true emotions I was truly hoping I would have felt the compassion and warmth that I was hoping for, especially because she has been in this arena for 30 years.

Just that simple. Get what you give, love more not hate, with all her experience and money her commercials could have been more about love and less about hate, he commercials used words that were so harsh, personal attacks, she called the American tax payer “deplorable” just because they won’t vote for her, that is UGLY.

Pure and simple UGLY because had she won, those deplorables would be paying tax, would be going to work and she would be benefiting from it.

When UGLY comes out, we as humans feel it, we recognize it and we act accordingly.

It is amazing to me that her campaign managers didn’t include the soft side, the I can relate side, the I understand side that most of the states needed to hear. NY is special it’s a blue state and she had a sure bet here but her message got disconnected when she focused solely on highlighting Trump, his personal life, bashing and attacking seemed out of character for her or was it? I work at Pierrepont Plaza and a democrat stood outside for months with a hand made sign that said I am a Democrat and I want answers for Benghazi… and some other stuff, all I can think about is WHY hasn’t anyone come downstairs to speak with this man ???? He is a vote and he counts. ????

Trump on the other hand related to the people, he got many “thinking” without harsh ad campaigns and commercials his attacks were geared to her political career and he hung his hat on the perception that clearly most of the country believes she has not done anything to change things so why would she start now ? 

When you release that message coupled with her scandals and her shame with Bernie it makes people flip the table over ! Despite the like or dislike for the other candidate, that’s what we saw happen! We learn visually, then it’s turned into perception and perception becomes the individuals reality so with that said the democratic campaign could have created a better visual than what they did.

A sure bet strategy, out smarted the blue campaign and won the election ! That is brilliant strategic work.

No one likes to lose, they say tho it’s all about how you play the game.

This very anticipated and awaited day has finally arrived. YAY. We no longer have to be subject to 2 adults acting worse than children as they jockey to the finish line !👏🏼

In the end the only difference of who is in office is their name. If you take a minute and look back you will see that every past President in the White House benefited themselves first. We the people keep on struggling.😹

I found an old newspaper and was amazed that in 1980 the minimum wage was 3.35 an hour !! It’s 2016 are we kidding the minimum wage is 9.00 an hour with a very long awaited increase that should arrive this December. 📈

However in 1980 you were able to rent a 3 bedroom apartment in Brooklyn for less than 600 dollars per month where today it’s anywhere from 3000.00 to 6500.00 EAGADS have we lost our minds.🏦

Also if you look at old newspapers you will see talk about woman equality, construction on the BQE🚘, put the brakes on did they say construction on the BQE, well it’s still under construction today ! That’s job security for you, the tax payers and middle class keep working hard and keep paying for the same things for 30 years. Then we wonder why can’t the middle class get ahead ?🚦

That is just a ridiculous question, the answer is so blatantly clear. How can we get ahead  when we are paying for and listening to the same story for 40 years ? Negative, negative, negative influence.

Woman equality ( women’s lib began in 1960’s does it take that long in America to consider woman an equal ?  ) we are so antiquated. Despite a democratic party or republican that’s 56 years… by now it should not even be a discussion it should be in place.🙋🏼

All in the old newspapers, and still we discuss the same issues because the minimum wage only went up 5.65 an hour in 36 years LOL . It would be nice to see somethings change over the course of 30 years, like headline that would read, no more tolls on the Verrazano Bridge, or fixed rate MTA metro cards like the forever stamps, or woman in the workforce earn equal or higher pay than most men, or paid childcare for working parents, or after school care paid for single parents, something that really helps the people, or free parking on saturdays so we can run errands not need to worry about a loaf of bread costing 45 dollars because the line was so long the meter time expired by – 1 minute ? Really… when was the last time we saw something that actually helps all of us ? 👨‍👩‍👦‍👦👩‍❤️‍💋‍👩👨‍❤️‍👨👩‍👧💁🏾🙆🏽‍♂️👯‍♂️👮🏽‍♀️👸🏿🎅🏽👱🏿👩🏽

When you go to vote today think about this, does it really matter who wins ? The lies about the deficit, the debt , the weapons, the crime, 36 years later the people are still struggling to keep their heads above water. Pushed out of their neighborhoods, apartments and begging God for help..all the government does is  just print more money that has no value here in our own country but has more value elsewhere frightening is what I say.🇧🇷🇦🇲🇧🇴🇪🇺🇩🇯🇪🇨🇲🇳🇳🇦🇳🇿🇴🇲🇵🇰🇷🇺🇸🇳🇸🇦🇸🇹🇸🇲

So I await the day when someone comes to take care of the people because today is not that day. I believe that day will come 🙀 hopefully sooner rather than later.

Enjoy your time at the polls voting for whomever you feel is the right person for the job, the better face, the easier to listen to, the woman finally for an “advanced nation” that has been fighting for woman equality since like forever it would be about time but is that a reason? I don’t know the answer to that but I do know for me I believe we can do better than that, I believe the day will come where some of this corruption goes away and the people surface to the top and get taken care of.❤️

Until that day comes, we will read 2016 newspaper make sure you buy any paper and especially save tomorrows headlines 🍾and 30 years from now 2046 look back and say holy guacamole not much has changed ….📰

I have been so out of it lately, soul searching lol. I just had to return to blogging I almost forgot how much I love talking lol.

So here’s my view on the campaign trail…..

So many people get so consumed they no longer think straight.

I rarely get involved with politics schmolitics but I mean REALLY ? Ugh this has been a painful, immature, dishonest, lies on top of lies on top of more lies cat fight totally a  r-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s campaign.

Have we become so numb? So blind ? So stuck on stupid? That we accept such campaigns? For crying out loud these are the candidates for the Presidency of the Unites States of America, not for an entry level position.

We have been so inundated with reality shows that we think this is acceptable ? If that’s the case it really doesn’t matter who becomes President , who cares if it’s a woman , man or a cartoon character the damage is done.🙈

In a time where I truly believe is an awakening, a time where I believe people want transparency, respect, honesty and a high ethical standard we are about to vote for people who do not represent any of those qualities? A time where we realize how important the constitution of the Unites States really is. Why that very same constitution separates US from the rest of the world, we are running to the polls to support someone who is not aligned ? 🙏🏻

I’m very disheartened that this is where America is, that voting for a woman just because she is a woman is a reason, or voting for a man who is so narcissistic you wonder how can he do anything for anyone when all he talks about is himself.😇

We put people in office based on false promises and we can’t throw them out, every other position you would be fired if you didn’t work up to speed. Politicians that support development and gentrification, create higher homeless populations then decide to use our tax dollars 5000 a month per room and make the offer to local hotels to take in the homeless ? The protestors only care about the fact that crime will rise? Really? The crime here is using the tax dollars to pay for what they created. But no one speaks on that…. it’s amazes me every time I watch the news. How stuck we really are.🤔

I would like to see Pence run against Michelle Obama then we have a race, something to be proud of a powerful female speaker speaking from her soul, a man with such class and finesse when he speaks he holds his composure a true seasoned and grounded individual.👍🏻

For me, I am skeptic, of these cheap thrills, crappy tactics, sex cards, race cards when all “they” are doing is jockeying for OUR money ! 🐴

I await the day when “We the people” finally grow a back bone and take a stance and say hey, I don’t care what color you are, I don’t care what sex you are but I do care who you are, you need to be transparent, ethical, honest and a true leader. Compassionate, intelligent, balanced, selfless, firm, strong and fearless. Someone who tips the pyramid upside down and puts the people first. Individuals, small business owners and big business owners, everyone and anyone. Someone who is tired of the USA being so behind in every arena, starting with politics, schools, public transportation, airports, and all ports. Someone who will actually work for the people. 👊🏼

Where is our money going ? Where are the state of the art civil service offices ? Ever visit a police station? Looks worse than Barney Miller.( for those younguns google Barney Miller) Lol 🤔

No one cares, but so many give a damn about the reality show hit list of lies/ sex/video tapes…drugs and alcohol.💃🏼

All we need to do is throw them both out, for their behavior has been disgraceful and “we the people” should not accept either of them. They should be disqualified.🙅🏼‍♂️

It’s too bad that we can’t disqualify them and start all over !👏🏼

What a concept, huh giving the people the ability to disqualify candidates that do not deserve to lead this great nation!✊🏻

However we take for granted every little thing every single day. WE managed to rush through the years, the days, the hours, the minutes and turned them all into seconds.

In a flash summer will be over, the moment it arrives we are already processing the end. WE are already celebrating Labor Day…Why is that ? 

I am 100pct GUILTY as charged.  However I have decided in the past few months to make a constious effort to pause, breathe and give thanks for every second, every minute, every hour that I live. TO take moments in time and breathe, to be still, to get grounded and centered so that my Fourth of July is just that and not the beginning of the end of summer.

So, with that thought I wish all of you a fantastic, slow, still , centered and focused Holiday…enjoy your friends and family and think “I am blessed ” to be given this moment in time to reflect upon my Independence, my country, my family.

Upward and onward ….enjoy !

As I sit here at my desk i find myself lost in time. I gaze around the room and realize that time is all about how we relate to it. When we do what we love it seems to fly by. When we are bored or not engaged in what we are doing time seems to drag on. Einstein was right time is relative to how we relate to it, our connection to time is what makes time.

We seem to waste a lot of time not knowing what we really want or living in this trapped limited thinking and belief system that was passed down to us from parents ..or grandparents. We were taught very negative mental messaging, like the more money you have the more trouble that comes with it ? What a crock of crap. .. this is just a way of control, and lost time. Time that we can never get back. Time that was spent just being content. Time that was spent with/in  wrong partners, jobs, places, religions and all that other controlling crap. Tons of rules and tons of sayings and beliefs that need to be abandoned immediately so that you no longer waste anymore precious time and  you want time to fly, when it goes by quickly you are actually enjoying what you are doing.

So do more of what you like. Pay close attention to how you relate to time…and see the difference. Someone once told me “time does not exist” .. how do you relate to time ?
