So you ask, what is Ghosting ?

Well if you think about a ghost, you know it’s there, but you can’t see it…sorta sums up what Ghosting is. It seems to be some type of trend, among those that feel their time is more valuable than your time. Is it just that they have no respect for other peoples time?

That is the question.

It has to be one or the other but both are negative ..right? Do onto others as you wish others to do unto you, in modern day times this is knows as karma, so then you might be asking WHY are so many people putting out this negative boomerang ? If Karma is real and that saying is true then you know it is sure to return in one way or another, in some shape, way or form.

This very topic brings me to shift for a second and say- WOW so many people have abandoned their religions for another form of religion and they say its the right way.. that  you need to be kind to mankind and one another .. but the actions are not behind their words, especially if they are ghosting and this goes for both sides – consumers and Real Estate Professionals, the ghost too.

I do not know of any one religion that ever spoke of ME-ISM , not one.  They all preach the same stuff, be kind, be good , take care of one another – we are all brothers and sisters..and so on and so on.

So WHAT is happening here and where is the disconnect? Is it an age thing? Not too sure because we all know that one bad apple can spoil a whole bunch ! So this can spread like wild fire. Ghosting is not sexy, it is not polite, it is not respectful and by gosh it will come back with a vengeance and you need to understand that attention goes where energy flows. I turned on the tele, and to my surprise they were talking about ghosting  and how people are not showing up for job interviews !!! WHAT ? Is there an over supply of work? The applicants are not canceling, re-scheduling either they are simply no-showing that is the term we used in the good old days – but back then you were NUTS to no show for an interview the world is small – every industry is TEENY TINY .. it will haunt you. In Real Estate by-golly this industry is so micro everyone knows everyone… I have emails from so many ghosts it is frightening to think that people think this is the right thing to do ? I am noticing more and more – we get inquiries for rentals with questions, we reply the person vanishes.

We even get blank inquiries – when we attempt to reply – gone – ! Poof like magic disappeared and never return… Why?

These are exactly the type of people you just don’t need to be close too because when karma comes back you don’t want that energy force anywhere near you.

So this is not a cool trend, hate to break it to you this is so not respectful, so not sexy and so not the right path. Everyone’s time is valuable especially in the city that never sleeps, we all could be doing other things with our time than spending it with ghosts. I am sure I can come up with at least 5 things I rather be doing than expecting a ghost to appear.

Get a grip, and practice what you preach .. be kind to mankind, do good and show up!
