
The art of selling, and closing go hand in hand, is it about the stronger personality? or is it simply being able to negotiate, never accept NO for an answer, there is always a way to make a deal happen … that is what I was taught. No does not exist I was once told in 1992..ish working in a high end travel planning company. The moment you accept NO you are done there is no where to go from there. At first I thought WHAT , that is so not possible NO for sure exists people say NO all the time.. it took me a while to actually process that statement. She was right.
So when I saw this ad, I could not resist but to comment on this caption, we are always selling aren’t we, from the moment we wake up to the moment we go to sleep.
Things that make me say hmm, lets shift this perspective a moment to …the close, the outcome of the call, the outcome of the conversation, that is the close. Every pitch or sale or conversation has a close. .. a close can simply sound like how about we stay in touch. How about I send you my card, how about we talk in a month or so .. even if the caller says I am not interested in buying what you have for sale you still go to close.
Closing isn’t always about money. Money however is the end game to profit and compensation for when you close. Keep in mind that this caption is simply pointing out that one of the two will be the “closer”. If you are in sales you want it to be you the majority of the time. So selling stocks is similar to selling Real Estate, they are both investments. There are some differences of course, but the the end result is closing so that you can earn a living in any sales environment. Dr’s are always selling new drugs, Dentist is always giving away and selling dental products or promoting a particular brand all sales – Real Estate, we do more than sell – we serve. When you serve – you close, because it’s not a hard sell.
So when and if you are in this moment of time when you need to close just shift your perception to serving the client and treat it like an ongoing event, you will close all of the time.

So the close is the art of the sell, isn’t it? The pitch is the new “marketing message”, the law of attraction is always in effect, so what you say will determine where you wind up.
So this caption to me simply means one person is going to end up on top, who’s it going to be?
